Weekend Project #2
Stupid ants. They stress me out. So, my weekend project was to pull out the dishwasher (with the help of db) and caulk the joint where they were getting in. But it is all done and hopefully when I go home today there will be no more ants. If there are... oh boy...
I also planted some flowers, but I am waiting until it is all done before I post a picture. I can't wait! It is going to be so nice. I found a great pot today at the little gift store at the hospital for only $2.50.

Above the Stove
I have been looking for something to hang above my stove - but the space isn't very large. I looked at various of tile store, looking for that special tile - without any luck. Today I found these great tiles available online at
Rare Devices.

Neat Stuff for Kids
I bought a set of bath toys for a baby gift and fell in love. So, I bought another set for my own house. No - I am not having a baby, but for those of you who will be visiting (or say you will be) look what your kids will get to play with! I bought the set at London Drugs ($12.99), but it is available online here.
A new tea set! I love the colours and the fun pattern on the front of the cups! I can't wait to have a tea party! I bought this set at a store in Sidney called "Buddies".
Bought both the puzzle and the glowing rubber ducky at the store in Sidney called "Buddies". Now I am ready for kids to come play!

Potential Project #1
The other day, design*sponge blog featured a credenza that I absolutely loved. I have been looking for something sort of similar, but never thought to look in second hand stores.
On my lunch hour, I went to a local used furniture store and found this credenza. If I took the legs off (or got shorter ones) it would be a perfect entertainment stand. It is teak - but the person laquered it... so I could take off the stain and oil it.
What do you think?? Is this a good project?

Weekend Project #1
My big plans are to do a project a week (okay - maybe every 2 weeks) and this blog will document my plans and progress!
My partner (db) and I bought a house about 6 months ago and I have BIG plans!
Our first project was to CLEAN! Yup - we spent Easter long weekend cleaning the walls, the fridge, the stove, the bathrooms, the floors, and everything in our sight. We didn't get all the way through, but made a big dent in it.
